Police Arrested Aslan Abashidze’s Cousin

Tbilisi.29.09.04. Media News. Law Enforcers have detained Jemal Gvariashvili, former Head of Chakvi Police Department. After the special operation the police found him to have weapons.

Gvariashvili was involved in dispersing demonstrations held in May in Batumi.

Jemal Gvariashvili is a cousin of Aslan Abashidze, the ex-leader of Adjara.
