Kakhetian Peasants Held Protest Action in front of the State Chancellery

Tbilisi.30.09.04.Media News. About 70 residents of Samtatskaro and Firosmani (villages in Dedoflistskaro District) held protest action in front of the State Chancellery.

The participants of the action demand from the government to solve the problem regarding the price of grapes.

As Giorgi Getiashvili, one of the participants of the action told Media News, neither Laert Zubadalashvili, Single Mandate Constituency of Dedoflistskaro nor Soso Khachishvili, Governor of the District helps the population in solving the problem.

According to the participants of the action they had been promised before the vintage that there would be an important increase in the price of the black grapes compared to the price of last year, though the price was not only not increased but it decreased essentially.

The participants of the action demand meeting with the president Mikheil Saakashvili. Otherwise they promise that the action will take much wider scales.

According to Giorgi Getiashvili the police and the governor of the district himself forbid the participants of the action to gather in front of the State Chancellery.
