NGOs Against Submitting the List of Chechen Refugees to Russia

Tbilisi.06.10.04.Media News. NGO “Former Political Prisoners for Human Rights” protests against submitting the list of Chechen refugees to Russian federation.

“Russian authorities perceive every adult Chechen masculine gender as a terrorist, and they will send “unconfirmed” materials about them of being terrorists. And Georgian government which tries to attract Russia will not find the reason to refuse their extradition”- declares Nana Kakabadze, the head of the organization.

According to her, government often violates human rights of those people as well who are dismissed from the position without any reasons or a real basis.

They stay without any kind of social insurance and are replaced by inexperienced people.

“Nowadays, everybody knows that without lobbying or a phone call from the authorised person, there is no possibility to get a job or to stay at the old position during reorganization process in any institution. And, they call it the selection of the candidates by contest” – states Nana Kakabadze.
