Prisoners Got Mixed Up

Tbilisi.07.10.04. Media News. Giorgi Tevzadze, the attorney of Dali Jeladze, Senior Inspector, Former Head of Special Registration for the Penitentiary and Prison Hospital, demands that the Prosecutor General takes the case into his own supervision; the case is about mixing up prisoners by their fathers’ names and accidental release of David Tsertsvadze (Elguja being his father’s name) instead of David Tsertsvadze (Zurab being his father’s name) from the Prison Hospital which occurred on November 15, 2003 due to the negligence of the administration; The demand also is to dismiss Irakli Darchiashvili, the investigator form the case, who is investigating the case in a partial way and to stop the persecution of Dali jeladze.

According to Giorgi Tevzadze, on November 26, 2003 Dali Jeladze was dismissed illegally as at that time she was on her sick leave.

To remember: Dali Jeladze is charged with indifference at work, which according to the first paragraph of Article 342 of the Criminal Code considers about 3 years of imprisonment.
