The Number of People Deported from Israel to Georgia has Increased Twice

Tbilisi.15.10.04. Media News. 20 Georgians who crossed the Israeli border illegally will be sent back to Georgia after Israeli Migration Police completes the investigation.

In the morning on October 14 Israeli Migration Police detained 20 Georgians for illegal crossing the Israeli border from the side of Egypt. According to the spread information, they arrived in the country to find employment. Some of them had already worked illegally in Israel. According to Media News information a group of 20 people was met by 3 local residents on the border who took them to Tel Aviv. The police was observing the group and detained them when they were going to stay in one of Tel-Aviv districts.

As Teimuraz Mosiashvili, Interim Representative of Georgia to Israel reported in an interview with Media News, “The detainees have been taken to Tel Aviv jail. The investigation has been launched. The identity of the citizens as well as all the details of how they arrived in Israel has still to be clarified. We are trying to solve everything quickly but Migration police is doing its own business”.

As for the Jewish Embassy in Georgia, Media News was told there that they had not received any official information regarding the fact.
