Sulkhan Molashvili Published an Open Letter

Tbilisi.25.10.04. Media News. Sulkhan Molashvili, the former Chairman of Chamber of Control who is currently imprisoned addressed the Non Governmental Organizations, Representatives of Diplomatic Missions in Georgia, independent politicians and journalists with an open letter. In the letter Molashvili asks them to react consequently and conduct adequate activities.

Former Chairman of Chamber of Control considers himself as a political prisoner and states that “his imprisonment is not a private case and is linked to the inhuman attempt to establish the tyranny of the 21st century in the country”.

According to the letter his political assassination has been decided which aims at extermination of the accusatory materials that he has using different methods including the method which degrades a human’s personality as well his/her business reputation.

“Members of Parliament and the government, only with a few exceptions, did not react to the facts of torture of the political prisoners. Therefore I consider it to be my obligation to assure them that I have very interesting information about the facts of corruption, which will be of interest not only for some members of parliament and the government but may contribute to the end of their “Rosy” political career” – writes Sulkhan Molashvili.

Furthermore, Molashvili does not exclude that the government may lay its hands not only on him but his family members as well.

The Former Chairman of the Chamber of Control published his letter after the judge announced him the decision about continuing the term of his pre-detention at 2 a.m. on October 23 in the Jail Republic Hospital without the presence of advocates and representatives of the press.
