Released Tavartkiladze Appeared in Hospital

Jumber Tavartkiladze, the candidate of single mandate constituency of Didube district, the member of “Union of National Forces – Conservatives” has been released from pre-trial detention. Police detained him on September 2 when they dispersed Batumi Central market.

The reason of Tavartkiladze’s release is his poor health situation.

Jumber Tavartkiladze is now in Batumi central hospital taking treatment course. He may be taken to Tbilisi as surgical operation could be needed.

Despite the fact, Koba Davitashvili, one of the leaders of the party states that election campaign of Jumber Tavartkiladze will continue.

According to Davitashvili, leading party plans to rig the election to be carried out on October 24. The lists of the constituency are false and rig – the citizens of different districts are registered in Didube district.

According to Davitashvili, the penal case against Tavartkiladze has not been cancelled and if he does not become a deputy he might be detained again.
