Manana Archvadze is going to Suit a File against the Prime Minister

Media News. Manana Archvadze, the widow of the ex-president Zviad Gamsakhurdia blames Zurab Zhvania, the Georgian Prime Minister in calumny and insult.

Manana Archvadze-Gamsakhurdia held a special press conference on the issue on October 21 and stated that Mtatsminda-Krtsanisi and Vake-Saburtalo District Courts are under the pressure of the government as they did not satisfy her complaint; she demanded from the Prime Minister to waive his accusation which was addressed to her.

According to the ex-president’s widow, Zurab Zhvania blamed her that the protest actions organized by her at the Ministry of Economy were actually managed by a person interested in purchase of certain property in Georgia and that each participant of the action received 5 GEL per day.

Manana Archvadze-Gamsakhurdia says that Mtatsminda-Krtsanisi District Court refused to discuss her complaint due to the reason that the respondent does not live in the district. As for Vake-Saburtalo District Court it did not consider the complaint due to the reason that the Prime Minister of Georgia made this statement at the governmental session in the State Chancellery which is located in Mtatsminda-Krtsanisi District.

Manana Archvadze-Gamsakhurdia is going to appeal to Regional Court regarding the issue.

Moreover, Manana Archvadze-Gamsakhurdia demands from the Prosecutor General to investigate the murder of the ex-president Zviad Gamsakhurdia, otherwise she threatens to hold protest actions. He also demands to forbid Eduard Shevardnadze, ex-president of Georgia to leave Georgia as she thinks that a criminal case should be brought against him for throwing down the legal government with forcible methods.
