Deputy Public Defender to Scrutinize Situation of Detainees

 
Tbilisi.27.10.04.Media-News. On 27th of September representatives of the Public Defender’s office visited Gldani-Nadzaladevi police department having learnt that the detainees K. K. and Z. Ch. had been physically injured.
After the visit, Bacho Akhalaia, deputy public defender, has been informed about the detainees’ physical injuries and assured to “have sent this information to the general prosecutor’s office and that perpetrators will be punished”.
According to the police department the detainees had already suffered the body injuries in question before being taken to the police department. The general inspection has been endowed with an investigation of the case.
