Society Complaints against “BP” for Destroying Watering System

Tbilisi.16.12.04.Media-News. The inhabitants of Krtsanisi village of Gardabani district held one more protest action in front of the British company “British- Petroleum” office in Tbilisi.

According to the demonstrators, watering system for the land pieces of 44 families were damaged when constructing Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan oil pipeline, due to what they could not water land and harvest has been reduced almost to half. Inhabitants demand compensation.

According to them, the representatives of the company promised to reconstruct the watering system and to give the compensation, though they have not kept the promise.

The representatives of “BP” make general comments and declare that company will not act against people.

At present the constructive works are suspended and inhabitants demand the reconstruction of watering system and financial compensation.
