Police Special Operation Turned Bloody

Yesterday police of Adjara killed Sulkhan Lomidze during a special operation. According to Giorgi Papuashvili, the chairman of Adjara's chief department of the Interior Ministry of Georgia, Lomidze, who had been convicted before was now wanted by the police alleged in robbery. The alleged person opened fire to the police in Khelvachauri district. None of the policemen have been injured during the shooting.

The brother of the murdered person Raul Lomidze managed to run. He was also wanted for robbery.

The Prosecution office of Adjara investigates the case in order to find out the necessity for liquidation measures that had been carried out by the police.
