The Case of a Former Chairman of the Chamber of Control Goes to Court

Tbilisi, 1.23.05, Media News. The term of pre-detention of Sulkhan Molashvili, Former Chairman of Chamber of Control, concluded on January 23.

The criminal case that had been brought against him has already been sent to Tbilisi Isani-Samgori District Court. It is not known yet when the court will hear the case.

Attorneys for Molashvili protest that the case will be heard in Isani-Samgori District Court. They say that the case should have been brought to Supreme Court since it is proceeding from the high position of Molashvili.

Sulkhan Molashvili was detained in April, 2004. He is accused of abuse of power.
