5 Internally Displaced Families Refuse to Leave Hotel “Adjara”

Tbilisi.07.02.05.Media News. 8 out of 17 Internally Displaced families from Abkhazia living in “Adjara” which were to be provided with the living place by the Ministry of Refugees and Resettlement have already left the hotel. The investor has given them 1000USD each in exchange of leaving hotel.

At present there are 5 families in the Hotel “Adjara” who are not going to leave the building until they are provided with the living place.

Omar Abuladze, Representative of the committee established regarding the eviction of the IDPs from the Hotel “Adjara” told Media News that out of the 17 families which are to be provided with the living places 4 families have been removed from the list as they had already received 7 000USD as a compensation from the investor and had been placed in the list by mistake.

“Our Committee has already sent the list of 13 families which are to be provided with the living places to the Ministry of Refugees and Resettlement. At present negotiations are under way regarding settling the above-mentioned families in Students’ City. I advise the 5 families still staying in the hotel to accept  1000USD from the investor, leave the hotel and we will, by all means, provide them with a living place in future”, - said Orma Abuladze.

For information: Temur Ugulava, Director of the Joint Stock “Adjara” paid 7 000 USD to each family living in the Hotel “Adjara” in exchange that they would live the hotel.
