Trade Unions Hold a Protest

Tbilisi, 02/20/05, Media News.  On February 20th, Members of Trade Unions of Georgia protested in front of Tbilisi’s main police department.

As Irakli Tugushi, Chairman of the Trade Unions, said in an interview with Media News, participants in the protest demand the immediate release of Lasha Chichinadze, Deputy Chairman of the Trade Unions. If their demand is not met, the members of the Trade Unions threaten to hold large scale actions.

Law enforcers detained Lasha Chichinadze on February 19, charging him with swindling.
