Amendments to be Made to the Law on Trade Unions

Tbilisi.02.25.05.Media News. The Georgian parliament adopted by a vote of 121 to 1 a draft of amendments to the Georgian Law on trade Unions, stating that members of trade unions must re-register themselves.

This process of re-registration will continue until April 15, and will be monitored by the Ministry of Justice.

According to the authors of the draft of amendments, the purpose of re-registration is to determine the exact number of persons involved in the trade unions in order to improve their activities and better defend the interests of their members.
