Georgian Women Detained in Finland Return to Georgia

Tbilisi.03.22.05.Media News. 52 Georgian women, who were accused of being involved in human trafficking in Finland, have been flown to Alekssevski Military Airport on a plane hired by the Finnish government.

Suspecting a possible case of trafficking, Finnish Border Police detained the Georgian citizens at the Russian-Finnish border on March 15.  Finnish authorities later shifted the charges against the detainees and allowed them to return to their homeland.
