International News Agency INTER-PRESS Stopped Functioning

On June 2, 2005 the International News Agency INTER-PRESS has stopped functioning. The agency was reporting over its liquidation already four months ago, however as they state in the agency “by then the agency’s founders changed their decision and gave us the opportunity to work for some times more. Unlike previous occurrence now the founders are carrying out the liquidation of the agency”.

The letter distributed by the agency reads: “We always tried to be impartial and provide you with prompt and comprehensive news in which sometimes we managed to succeed and sometimes not. Apparently it is not enough to strive for professionalism and development. We want to thank all our contractors and subscribers who believed and trusted in us. Thanks to all individuals who made their contribution in development and enhancement of INTER-PRESS”.

International news agency INTER-PRESS was founded in 2001. From summer 2002 until now it was the I-Media Holding affiliate. On June 1, 2005 the Board of Directors of INTER-PRESS made a decision to liquidate the agency.
