Georgian Prisoner Asks For Help in Sokhumi Prison

Tbilisi.03.08.05.Media News. At Sokhumi hospital the health condition of 57 years old Zaur Ubilava, who with other Georgians was imprisoned by Abkhazians in Tsalenjikha region, is serious. Ubilava was imprisoned because Abkhazians thought that he crossed the boarder illegally, but at this moment his health conditions have really become worse and he needs to be taken to hospital for treatment.

Family members of Ubilava asked UN Mission working in Abkhazia for help. The head of Gali’s Office of UN Peace Mission, Valeri Makarenko stated that they had everyday contact with Ubilava and they would try their best to help him.
