The International Union of Journalists Accuses Government 

Tbilisi. 09.09.05. Media News. The International Union of journalists, “Objective”, calls upon the Georgian media to be more objective and impartial. Members of the Union say that the government is afraid of intelligent, professional and experienced employees, who are often fired from their work.

Irma Inashvili, member of the Union: “We, journalists, were much freer a year and a half ago, than now. Public television is also in danger and journalists have to raise their voices.” 

The International Union of journalists “Objective” is also conducting an investigation into illegal activities by the chief of the National Commission of Communications, Dimitry Kitoshvili. According to the members of the union, the article containing the results of the investigation will be published soon.
