Inhabitants of the Tabukashvili Street against Mini-bus Traffic

14/10/05, “Media News”- Inhabitants of the Revaz Tabukashvili Street rose in opposition against the new routes for mini-buses. Initially, the mini-buses moved along the Rustaveli Avenue, but after the decision of the Tbilisi Municipality, their route was changed.

The inhabitants of the street are concerned that the vibrations caused by the increase of traffic may harm their century-old houses. They say that they do not feel safe in such an environment.

According to the manager of Mtatsminda-Krtsanisi district Kakha Guruli, the Premier of Tbilisi Temur Kurkhuli and the head of the civil transportation department Zurab Chikviladze, the appeal of the inhabitants of the Tabukashvili Street will be discussed. Supposedly, the meeting is to take place next week.
