Victims of Mud-Slide Going to Protest

Batumi.30.12.05.Media News. Victims of a mud-slide who are living in boarding house “Batumi” are going to organize a protest action in front of the building of the administration on December 31st. They have been sleeping in tents for a week and demand a meeting with the head of the Adjaran government Levan Varshalomidze.
 
The mentioned boarding house is being sold. The administration offers 5 thousand USD as compensation for the clearance the house. According to the inhabitants, this amount is not sufficient to purchase a flat in Batumi.

This boarding house is inhabited by victims of the mud-slide of 1989.
