Judges in Gori Experience Unfair Pressure

The High Council of Justice commenced a case of disciplinary layoff against Gocha Gochitashvili and decided to bar him from conducting trials. The Chair of the Gori Court Bondo Vatiashvili was given a severe warning by the Council of Justice. In the interview with the Human Rights Information and Documentation Center, Bondo Vatiashvili claims that the decisions lack legal motivation and intends to appeal to the Supreme Council Disciplinary Board of the Council of Justice. According to information that is spread in Gori, another judge Giorgi Mirotadze is also ordered a disciplinary layoff.
