Reorganization Planned in Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti: Local Government Leaves State Workers Unemployed

The Local Governor of Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti, Zaza Gorozia, has started a reorganization process in the Local Administration. Gorozia has already sent a letter of notification. According to the letter, every employee of the administration must write a letter of resignation before the 7th of April.

Some of the dismissed employees say that it is the part of a reorganization process, initiated by the governor, while others think that the decision was made to get rid of some of the positions in the administration, something which has already caused much displeasure among workers. Despite these facts, staff of the local administration do not speak out too loud about their fears; it is obvious that the panic of being left unemployed is setting in.
