The Opposition Does Not Approve of New Labour Code

Tbilisi, 30.04.06, ‘Media News’ – The Parliamentary Opposition does not approve of the new labour code. The labour code has already been discussed in Parliament and starting next week, Parliamentary Committees will continue to work on the new laws.

David Saganelidze, a member of ‘Right Opposition’, thinks that the new laws violate the rights of the employee.

“The employee is forced to work in an unstable environment. The new labour code does not give individuals the right to act or express themselves,” said Saganelidze.

Saganelidze also believes that the article of the proposed law, which allows oral agreements to be made between employees and employers, violates the rights of workers, as it makes it difficult to defend their rights in court.

“These are all the general remarks about the new labour code, but if we discuss this legal project in detail, we can find a lot more stupid things in it”, added Saganelidze.
