Ombudsman Demands Moving Ill Inmate to the Hospital

Tbilisi, 20.07.2006, ‘Media News’ – Sozar Subari, the Ombudsman of Georgia, appealed to the head of Penitentiary Department Bacho Akhalaia, asking moving inmate Vajha Ghvaladze to the Jail hospital.

According to Ombudsman’s Office health condition of Ghvaladze is critical. He is almost blind and suffers from epilepsy.

Vajha Ghvaladze should have been transformed to the jail hospital for medical research on the 14th of April 2004. However he still remains in Rustavi Jail #6.
