Eka Beselia Demands Punishment of the Judge Malkhaz Guruli

Tbilisi, 21.07.2006, ‘Media News’ – The lawyer Eka Beselia demands punishment of the Judge of Kutaisi City Court Malkhaz Guruli.

According to Eka Beselia the judge refused her to defend arrested father and son illegally. “Guruli used to conduct hearings with noise, assaulting accused people; He never listens to the sides. That is why I protest against him. I accuse him in violating court ethics and demand his punishment”, declares Eka Beselia.

She has already appealed to the High Council of Justice, to the head of the Supreme Court Kote Kublashvili and to the President of Georgia Mikheil Saakashvili. “I principally assist that the Council of Justice to demand the video material of the court hearings. And then the Council should study Guruli’s behavior in the court”, says Eka Beselia.
