Inmate Hang Himself

Tbilisi, 04.09.2006, ‘Media News’ – Zaal Iakobidze, 31, hang himself with his t-shirt in the Jail #1, in Tbilisi. As Salome Makharadze, the head press centre of the Penitentiary department informed ‘Media News’, Iakobidze first had a fight with other inmates in the cell and then with the administration. After that, jail administration took his private things from Iakobidze and moved him to single cell.

Zaal Iakobidze was imprisoned for two years on the 1st of January 2006, for robbery and stealing of the car.
