Tbilisi, 06.09.2006, ‘Media News’ – Goerge Khmaladze, the general director of political movement ‘Imedi’ (‘Hope’) made a statement about arrests of the members of party ‘Samartlianoba’ (‘Justice’).
According to him, search was conducted in the offices of party ‘Justice’ in accusation of overthrowing the government. Maya Nikoleishvili, the head of ‘Anti-Soros’, Temur Jorjoliani, leader of Christian-Monarchist party and several representatives of regional offices of ‘Justice’ were also detained.
He says decision made by the government is absurd, and that political party ‘Imedi’ will not be afraid of steps, made by the government. “If the government will not stop political chase, we will start massive protests,” – said George Khmaladze.
