Relatives of Manana Jabelia Are Getting Ready for Court Process

Relatives of Manana Jabelia, who died in the special police custody in Russia, are getting ready for trial. According to her young son, Niko Kvaratskhelia, they are gathering documents to prepare the suit.

The leader of the movement “Accommodation of Moscow”, Irina Bergalieva, declares that she will prepare the suit in the Tveri Prosecutor’s Office. “As a reliable person, I will apply officials at the Tveri Prosecutor’s Office, who have investigated the fact. I will appeal against the judge of Nagatinski, Olga Chubarova and the director of the Temporary Detention Centre of Foreigners,” says Bergalieva.

Jabelia was waiting for discussion the cassation part of the suit during two months in the cell. Two days before her death, the verdict on her deportation was abolished in the Nagatinski Court. The warrant should have been sent to the custody from the court. However, according to Niko Kvaratskhelia he was told at the court that two days were not enough to send the documents.
