Victims of the April 9 Protest Abolished Allowances

Protest demonstration of the victims of the events of April 9 was held in front of the building of the Ministry Healthcare.

Several dozens of people protest the abolished allowances, which were initially granted by the government.

Demonstrators demand to meet Lado Chipashvili, Minister of the Health and Social Welfare and to satisfy their demands. Otherwise, they threaten to hold large-scaled demonstrations and also take more severe ways of protest.

Under the 1999 law, victims of the events of the April 9 were granted with the communal, medical and transport allowances. However, the new legislation abolished these allowances and a new compensations will be estimated which will be distributed once in a moth.
