Detainees of November 7

November 9, 2007
On November 7th, as a result of mass rallies, twenty-one detainees were charged with commiting an administrative penalty. Others were released on bail.

Shota Khizanishvili, head of the Administrative Department within the Ministry of Internal Affairs, does not remember the exact number of people who are still in detention. “They are charged with hooliganism, public disorder and resisting law enforcers.  Some of them were sentenced to ten-days in prison while several received thirty day sentences.
