The United Opposition Expresses Suspicions about Voter’s List

December 11, 2007
Members of United National Council of Georgia call on the population to verify his or her name in the electoral register before December 13. As Nino Goguadze and Davit Bardavelidze, the United National Council representatives to the CEC, stated today at the Press Briefing, 3 300 000 voters are recorded in the united electoral register for the January 5 Presidential Elections. This figure exceeds the number of voters registered last year by almost 1 million. The members of the Council presume that number of voters has artificially been raised by registering same voters in different districts and putting deceased on the list.

The members of the United National Council request Georgians living abroad to register for the elections at consulates.
