Imedi Broadcasting Is Resumed

After forcible 34-day-silence TV Imedi resumed its broadcasting on December 12 and at 20:05 p.m. news-program “Kronika” was on-air.
News program was dedicated to the events of November 7 when Tbilisi demonstration was dispersed and riot police raided Imedi building. Amid the shots of November demonstration the journalists were telling their own stories. They talked about how law enforcements were insulting them and destroying their cameras and microphones during the dispersal and how riot police were breaking technical equipments in the office of TV Company.

During dramatic events approximately 30 journalists for TV-Imedi, operators and engineer of on0air transmission were injured. TV presenters of news programs thanked to those people who supported Imedi. “Kronika” will be broadcast in every three hours because of technical problems. On December 13 morning entertaining program will be renewed.
As usual Giorgi Targamadze, the head of news and political programs of the TV-Imedi will present its weekly program “Droeba” on Sunday. 
Imedi will not be able to make on-air transmissions because of damaged technical equipments during November 7th events.
