Salome Zurabishvili doubts about Secret Video-Recording Made by the Georgian Prosecutor General’s Office

December 24, 2007

Salome Zurabishvili, member of the United Opposition and leader of the political party, “Sakartvelos Gza’, states that she doubts about secret video-recording made by the Georgian Prosecutor General’s Office which was released today. “ This is a government’s attempt to provoke public disorder on the Election Day and lay the blame of the situation on the opposition. I need much more data to believe the information provided by the video recording”, stated Zurabishvili.

The leader of “Sakartvelos gza” states that the government has drawn up the plan and keeps to it: They spread the information that the opposition is planning a turn over on January 6. “They wanted to implement this plan on November 7, but failed because of the lack of the evidence. Consequently, they have gained experience and are more prepared now”, Zurabishvili pointed out.

It must be mentioned that today Nika Gvaramia, Deputy Prosecutor General, published a secret video recording that proves that Valeri Gelbakiani, head of businessman Badri Patarkacishvili’s election staff, was planning a state overthrow.
