Violations Were Discovered at Signaghi Polling Stations # 10 and # 11

January 5, 2008
The chairman of the District Election Commission granted full responsibilities to commission members wilfully without ballots in the Sighnaghi Polling Station # 11.

Mobile group of the Radio “Hereti” and newspaper “Kakhetis Khma” were informed about the violation by Maia Khutsishvili, a representative of the New Rights.

She stated that “remarks and recommendations towards the chairman of the commission are not considered by the District Election Commission # 11.”

Nugzar Jaliashvili, the chairman of the commission, categorically denies the accusations against him. He said that real violations have not occurred at their polling station.

Voters, like in Bodbiskhevi, were wearing red scarves in Sighnaghi too but there was one distinguishing feature-supporters of the presidential candidate from the National Movement were moving outside polling stations.
