The Chairperson of the Precinct Election Commission (PEC) Accuses the Head of Khelvachauri Local Government for an Assault

January 10, 2008
Mindia Didmanidze, head of precinct #33, in the village of Tkhilnari, in the Khelvachautri District accuses Badri Shalvidze, the head of Khelvachauri local government for the assault.

The PEC Chairperson states that governor invited him to his quarter at midnight and accused for flawing the election process even though Saakashvili received the majority of votes at the polling station.

"I met the head of Khelvachauri local government and the head of the Constitutional Security Department (CSD) Khelvachauri division. They assaulted me because Saakashvili could not receive more votes", states Didmanidze.
