Former Journalists from the TV Company ”Imedi” Established Studio”Akhali Droeba”

Late in February or early in March, studio “Akhali Droeba” will broadcast programs on Public Broadcaster. Independent studio, that was established by former journalists from the TV Company “Imedi”, Dachi Grdzelishvili, Soso Barnabishvili, Rusudan Tskhomelidze, Zaza Tsuladze and Lizi Vachnadze. Dachi Grdzelishvili stated in their conversation with the Medianews that the program would be broadcast on Sundays at 9:00 pm and will be similar to the TV program “Droeba” on Imedi TV. The duration of the program would be one hour; it would be prepared by a journalist team of the old “Droeba”: Dachi Grdzelishvili, Soso Barnabishvili, Rusudan tskhomelidze, Lizi Vachnadze, Zaza tsuladze, Eka Kadagishvili and Vako Avaliani. Besides that the operators and montage-makers will be those people who worked in “Droeba” for four years.

Dachi Grdzelishvili will be symbolic director of the program because all journalists will have equal rights while preparing the item. “The program is preparing for the Public Broadcaster because the channel belongs to the society. Consequently, we will have more chance to protect our independence,’ stated Dachi Grdzelishvili.

He added that TBC TV and Company “GL-TV” are partners of their studio. They will fund one concrete program with concrete sum of money. The Akhali Droeba is holding negotiations with international funds as well.

Grdzelishvili claimed that neither public broadcaster nor partner companies will involve the editorial policy of the studio.
