Prisoner found hanged in Jail

Iuri M, a prisoner committed suicide by hanging at Rustavi #2 Penitentiary Institution. An guard on duty found the prisoner hanged with the prisoner’s own T-shirt from the prison bars.

 
According to the preliminary analysis of investigators and experts, a 32- year old prisoner hanged himself and the Investigation Division of the Penitentiary Department is now investigating circumstance of the case.

Iuri M. was convicted for premeditated murder, robbery and interfering with and disorganizing the work of the penitentiary institution. He had been in prison custody since 1996.
