Workers of Cement Factory in Aghaiani Demand 5-Month Salary Arrears

Today, on June 20 the workers of Aghaiani cement factory protested over not having received their salary for 5 months and counting.

The factory belongs to “Black Sea Group”. The workers decided protest when the workers demanded their salary from the factory administration and  Alika Tsulukidze, the representative of “Black Sea Group” – and the management only responded by  telling them that they could quit it they did not want to work; the  protest  was attended by approximately 200 persons.

Alika Tsulukideze became rather irritated when journalists were on site to film the protest action. He proceeded to curse the workers for calling journalists. However, later he promised to pay the salary arrears the next day.
