Health Condition of Prisoner Deteriorated after Sewing Shut his Mouth

Osman Madoishvili, a prisoner of Batumi Prison # 3 sewed his mouth shut a few days ago. As a result his health condition has worsened. Yesterday, Kobuleti District Court ordered a medical investigation of the prisoner to determine the impact of the act.
Prisoner Madoishvili had been tried once.  Now he is charged with Article 177 Paragraph II and III, a charge which the accused pleads not guilty.  The accused had not had an attorney to represent him. However, when the representative of Public Defender in Adjara interfered on his behalf, he was than granted a public defender.
