Police Engage in Blackmail of Citizens in Telavi

Gogita Dalakishvili, the representative of political party New Rights told radio Hereti that the administration of Kakheti Main Division of Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia instructed district inspectors to collect information about the population who hold oppositional views in their districts and share it with their division.

Dalakishvili stated that if the divisional administration found out about oppositional members in the area earlier than they did that the district inspectors that the inspectors would be dismissed from their jobs.

“I call the administration of Kakheti Regional Division of MIA and other operative departments to stop blackmailing its subordinates and the people. This fact will annoy the populace,” said Gogita Dalakishvili, a Member of the New Rights Party explained to Radio Hereti.
