Russian Occupants Started Looting of the Population in Upper Abkhazia

November 11, 2008
Occupants in Gali district and Upper Abkhazia are in critical situation and they try to get food from looting of local people.

Raul Kiria, the head of the Abkhazian Media Center, reported to Medianews that Russian Defense Ministry cannot supply its army with food. Hungry soldiers attack families in Gali district and grab cows and other food products from locals.

“After local population evacuated from Upper Abkhazia two months ago, occupants killed the cattle of the abandoned families and conserved the meat.

“Now this reserve has finished too and soldiers are in serious crisis. Several families live in the region. Occupants grab their products and people will not have any source in winter,” said Raul Kiria.
