Abkhazian Separatists Forcibly Recruits Georgians for Military Service

November 25, 2008

Abkhazian separatists recruited Mindia Pachulia and Zaza Koslogotov, residents of the village of Chkhortoli in Gali district to military service under force.

Despite the resistance of Georgian recruits Pachulia and Koslogotov were physically taken out of their houses under force.

Reportedly, a recruit, who avoids military service in Abkhazian army, will be imposed with the fine of 5,000 rubles; but if a recruit pays 70,000 rubles the Abkhazian commissariat will issue military certificates where recruits do not have to serve in the army.
