A Lonely 89 –Year-Old Woman in Extreme Poverty without a Social Assistance

Mariam Mamisashvili, 89 years old woman residing in Gurjaani, who is a lonely woman living in extreme poverty, is no longer given a social assistance by Gurjaani Department of the Agency of Social Subsidies.

He has already lived without any assistance for four months, despite of the fact, that the rating score of her family is 10 790.

According to Lia Sibashvili, a major specialist of Gurjaani Department of the Agency of Social Subsidies, Mamisashvili was allocated to an aid because of a low rating score. But Mariam was not given an aid as she did not appear at her constant living address during several verifications, carried out by a social agent. As Mamisashvili said, she had troubles with walking and that’s why she was taken for taking care of by her relatives.
