Deputy Head of HQ of “Alliance for Georgia” in Gori Was Detained

Tamaz Makashvili, deputy head of the HQ of the opposition party “Alliance for Georgia” in Gori was detained by police.

Davit Razmadze, the head of the HQ of the political party reported to the Medianews, Tamaz Makashvili was sitting into his car when several policemen approached him by car and tried to arrest him.

“Makashvili demanded the policemen to explain to them to explain the reason of his detention but the law enforcers did not reply to him. The situation resulted into the quarrel between the representative of the Alliance and the policemen and finally Makashvili was arrested. Gori district court is discussing his case. As it was reported, he is charged under the Article 173 of the Administrative Code of Georgia that envisages resistance to the law enforcers,” said Davit Rasmadze.
