Police Searched Gia Karkarashvili

April 10, 2009

Gia Karkarashvili, former defense minister of Georgia, reported that on April 9 his wife and he were searched by patrol policemen who seized a video-camera from them.

As Karkarashvili reported to the Medianews, the incident happened on the left embankment of the River “Mtkvari” in Tbilisi close to the petrol station “Eco Georgia”.

The former minister stated that the patrol policemen searched their cars without any explanations and seized video-camera.

“I was searched too; I was insulted more than ever,” said Karkarashvili.
