Giorgi Laghiddze Did Not Participate in the Protest Demonstration in Protest

April 10, 2009

The political party “Future Georgia” expresses complete support to the people who are gathered in front of the parliament. However, they do not take part in the rally.

Giorgi Laghidze, the leader of the political party, reported to the Medianews that they did not join the demonstration because it is organized by Nino Burjanadze, Zurab Noghaideli, Kitsmarishvili and former governmental officials who have committed plenty of crimes together with our government.

“We express our solidarity to the people who came to the demonstration and we join their requests. Their requests are fair. The Georgian people do not want this regime – authority of Mikheil Saakashvili--because they have committed many crimes. We have not participated in the demonstration because it is organized by Burjanadze, Noghaideli, Kitsmarishvili and former governmental officials who have committed many crimes together with current government. It is unacceptable for us. These people have appropriated millions of lari for many years and now they want to legalize this money and want to come into force for the third time.
