Law enforcement officers arrested a man in Velistsikhe village, Gurjaani district, for the preparation of false Russian driving license. Prosecutor Giorgi Liluashvili at the regional prosecutor’s office said the accused person was illegally bringing driving licenses from Russian Federation to Georgia and sold them for different prices.

“Kakheti regional department started investigation into realization of false documents, namely Russian driving licenses. A person was arrested; false document was found during the search. Other persons, who allegedly purchased the false license from him, were also questioned,” Giorgi Liluashvili said.

The investigation was launched into the purchase-realization of false official document (Article 362 Part I of the Criminal Code of Georgia) that envisages imprisonment up to three years.
