Mobile Box Ballots Annulled in #45 Precinct in Lambalo

June 15, 2014
Humanrights.ge

According to the preliminary assessments of observers of Human Rights Center, compared to 2013 Presidential Elections, the commissioners for local self-government elections were better prepared. However, most of the violations were still caused by the lack of professionalism and qualification of electoral administration.

In #45 Lambalo precinct of Sagarejo municipality, there were 29 voters registered for voting through the mobile ballot box. By the request of Human Rights Center’s observer, all of these votes were annulled. The reason for this decision was the fact that there were no signatures made in the electoral lists.

As the observer of Human Rights Center explains, the voters might not be well aware of the electoral procedures but the commissioners were obliged to remind them to make signatures.
