Chairman of GYLA’s Kutaisi Office Became CEC Member

On February 4, Parliament of Georgia approved candidates for three vacant positions in the Central Election Commission. One of the candidates was Giorgi Tchikaberidze, head of Georgian Young Lawyers’ Association Kutaisi Office, was approved on the position with 98 votes. Georgian President nominated Tchikaberidze for the position to the legislative body last week.

Besides Tchikaberidze, other nominees of Giorgi Margvelashvili Giorgi Javakhishvili (86 votes v 4 votes) and Zurab Khrikadze (105 votes) also received support from the Parliament. 

In December, 2014 Giorgi Tchikaberidze was elected to the position of the GYLA’s Kutaisi office chairman for one-year-term second time.
